Exploring the effect manipulated light and the impact that this will have on the audience has become a most intriguing subject to me. As part of my experimentation, using ephemeral materials helps impact the contrast and refraction of colour, due to the movement of how the light is directed, influencing what is seen. This results in the audience having a different perspective on the immediate environment. Immersing the audience in conjunction with these attributes distorts the visual perception of the viewer. The duration of the bubble is also a stimulating part of my practice, trying to reveal this thorough photography helps to capture the materiality and the structure before it disappears. The idea behind this piece is for the audience to feel consumed by the immersive atmosphere. Transforming an environment by an influence as simple as light, allows the audience to see beyond the piece into another phase of illusion.
