We are at the top of the food chain; by creating interactive work that plays with scale and space my main focus is to intervene with the viewers emotions.
Creating welcoming yet intimidating human traps, these will lure the viewer in and allow them to occupy the role of pray in the animal world.
The viewer may feel an intrusion on their personal space as they connect and fight with the materials of the work to get out of a trapped situation.
My inspiration has evolved from the idea of an inferior species. Concentrating on the freedom we have as human beings, I challenge how we perceive ourselves and take advantage of the trust we gain with our pray.
I put forward the question, will the viewer put their trust in me as an artist when roles are switched and they become the pray?
