Consistent Poetry is made of letters. Letters have no idea. Letters as such have no sound; they offer only tonal possibilities to be valuated by the performer. – Kurt Schwitters.
My work concerns language and communication. Primarily it addresses pronunciation and how verbal language is understood from a theoretical position regarding the origins and manipulation of human communication.
My practice predominantly is made using video and performance to address text and spoken language. The work investigates pronunciation and mispronunciation within society. To explore this subject I position the oral mechanics of linguistics via the articulation of ‘tongue twisters’.
