My past art practice was concerned with the use of paint and creating portraits as well as self-portraits in a very traditional way. Recently this is something that I have been finding myself moving away from. My current practice has stopped producing this kind of art work and has begun to try to experiment with what it means to paint and how it can be done. It is also trying to challenge what can be counted as a self-portrait as well as what it could mean. I have tried to do this by using my body to create an image of myself, by using different parts of my body as a tool to apply the paint onto the surface.
